A Revolution in Learning Has A Name

A Revolution in Learning Has A Name Lina Ashar

A Revolution in Learning Has A Name Lina Ashar

“When a child learns the right way, they don’t just change their own future — they change the future of humanity and the planet.”

It began with a radical question in 1993, when Lina Ashar asked,

“Why must learning feel like stress when it could feel like wonder?”
That question sparked a revolution. Kangaroo Kids and Billabong High turned classrooms into places of joy, curiosity, and emotional connection.

Three decades of neuroscience, behavioural science, and psychology refined that vision into Dreamtime Learning, a system built on human consciousness.

Powered by Dreamtime Learning carries this model forward, installed under your brand, adapted to your context, and measured by transformation families can feel.

Join Lina Ashar’s next revolution in education, where science meets spirit, learning meets purpose, and schools become catalysts for a more conscious world.

Be the Hundredth Monkey

“The story of the hundredth monkey has always stayed with me. A true observation of how a single new behaviour, once adopted by enough monkeys, suddenly spreads across the entire tribe. Consciousness moves from one living being to another.

Education is no different. Every time one school dares to do things differently, it shifts what’s possible for thousands more.

My hope is that Dreamtime becomes that ripple, and that every founder, educator, and parent who joins us becomes their own hundredth monkey.”

Future Ready Learners

Future Ready Learners

While traditional schools replicate outdated patterns to keep children in line, we dare to be the shift.
By adopting learning models rooted in consciousness, we create a ripple that expands what is possible for your child. Here, children stop being one of many and start becoming voices that have the potential to change history.

Personal, Deeply-connected & Child-Centred Education

Personal, Deeply-connected & Child-Centred Education

Our Hub Champ Dr. N Aruna Rao knows every child by name, what excites them, what challenges them and what helps them come alive as a learner.

In a micro-school, your child is not one face in a crowd but a whole human being whose interests, pace and ideas genuinely matter. In contrast, a traditional school often operates like a factory system - rows of children moving through identical lessons, identical tests and identical expectations, led by a Principal who manages operations more than individual journeys.

Our micro-schools flip this completely. Instead of shaping children to fit the system, we shape the system around the child. The learning is personal, curiosity-led, interdisciplinary and rooted in self-mastery. The result is a school where your child feels seen, heard, understood - and where learning finally feels like it was especially designed for them.

Our Learner Approach

Our Learner Approach

Building A Child’s Inner Architecture

Building A Child’s Inner Architecture

At the Hyderabad Hub, we don’t just teach subjects; we help children build their inner architecture. Our approach is designed to help learners understand the most complex tool they will ever own: their own minds. They begin to notice how their thoughts grow, how habits form, and how feelings can either block or support their progress.

Through gentle reflection, micro-goals, and real-time feedback, children start to see their own patterns. This isn't just "schooling", it is a conscious awakening to their own potential.

Academic growth is the natural byproduct of this inner work. Instead of being tethered to rigid routines and rote-learning, children at our Hub engage with real-world experiences. Over time, they develop the antifragility to meet challenges without giving up, the clarity to adjust when a strategy fails, and the ownership to try again with a deeper sense of "Why." This is where confidence and a lifelong love for learning quietly take root.

Learning Through Technology: Intentional Digital Citizens

In an AI-powered world, tech-fluency is no longer optional - it is the edge. However, we go beyond usage; we teach the brain science behind the screen. Children use interactive simulations and AI tools with purpose and awareness, building healthy, intentional digital habits. They learn to use technology as a powerful extension of their own creativity, rather than becoming dependent on it.

Social Emotional Learning

Social Emotional Learning is an integral part of the day. It helps learners understand themselves and others by recognizing their feelings, managing emotions, building confidence, and making the right choices. Through stories, interactive games, group activities, and discussions, they practice kindness, teamwork, empathy, and respect. SEL helps learners develop strong emotional ties, solve problems rationally, and feel safe, supported, and ready for the future.

Learning By Doing: The Thrill of Invention

The Hub is a living laboratory. In our Maker Spaces and Robotics Labs, children move from theory to reality. Whether they are tinkering with code, shaping raw wood, or designing a sustainable garden, they discover how science, art, and technology come alive when applied. They learn that their ideas have weight and that they have the power to create things that didn't exist before.

Accelerated Learning: Reclaiming Time

By stripping away the "filler" of traditional schooling, our learners often complete core academics in half the time. Using small groups and mixed-age project blocks, we make learning hyper-efficient. This "reclaimed time" is then reinvested into what truly matters: deep exploration of passions, intense practice of skills, and the freedom to stay curious.

Learning Through Travel: The World as a Classroom

We view travel as part of the curriculum, not a break from it. Our learners solve real problems, adapt to new environments, and immerse themselves in diverse cultures. Supported by live virtual classes and our dedicated 15-day family learning expeditions, children develop a global perspective and a resilient, "limitless" mindset that no four walls can provide.

Personalised Learning: The Blueprint

We refuse the "one-size-fits-all" factory model. At Dreamtime, children learn at the level of their ability, not their age. Every learner follows an individual plan that evolves with them, utilizing flexible benchmarks like Cambridge Checkpoint or NIOS. We treat each child as a unique blueprint, ensuring they are neither bored by repetition nor overwhelmed by pace.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about our unique approach to learning.

Common questions about our unique approach to learning.

How do you assess learning at Dreamtime Learning Hub?

We don’t believe learning can be captured by marks alone. Children are assessed through portfolios, observations, projects, reflections, and real-world application. We look at how they think, create, collaborate, problem-solve, and grow emotionally, not just what they memorise.
This gives parents a clear, holistic picture of their child’s growth- academic, social, emotional, and creative - so progress is visible, meaningful, and aligned with real-life success, not just test performance.

Do you offer online learning?

Yes. Our online programs carry the same philosophy and learning design as our physical hubs. Learning remains personalised, interactive, and deeply engaging, with strong relationships between learners and educators at the centre.Technology is used as a tool to deepen engagement, not replace human connection.
This ensures continuity and flexibility for families while maintaining the same quality, care, and educational outcomes as our in-person hubs.

Which age groups do Dreamtime Learning Hubs serve?

We work with children from early years through the middle years, approximately ages 2 to 13. Each stage of learning is carefully structured to align with children’s developmental needs, cognitive growth, and emotional readiness, ensuring age-appropriate challenge, support, and progression.
Families benefit from a consistent learning philosophy across years, reducing disruptive transitions and supporting steady, confident growth from early childhood onward.

How are parents involved in the learning journey?

Parents are our partners. We believe learning works best when home and school are aligned. Parents are invited into conversations, workshops, reflections, and everyday touchpoints that help them understand and support their child’s growth
When parents and educators work together, children show stronger confidence, faster developmental progress, and greater emotional security.

What are your class sizes like?

Our classes are intentionally small, usually between 10 and 15 learners. This allows educators to truly know each child, their strengths, interests, and learning rhythms, and to respond to them as individuals, not numbers. Small group sizes ensure every child is seen, heard, and supported to thrive. Small class sizes enable high-quality, personalised learning, especially critical in the early years, so no child gets lost, overlooked, or rushed.
